Former Senator Hon. Douglas Roche, O.C. will talk on "Obama and the End of Nuclear Weapons" and speak on his new book "Creative Dissent: A Politician Struggle for Peace." Douglas Roche is an author, parliamentarian and diplomat, who has specialized throughout his 35-year public career in peace and human security issues. He is the former Chairman of the United Nations Disarmament Committee and the Middle Powers Initiative. Mr. Roche has recently been meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon on the UN 5-point Action Plan for nuclear disarmament. The author of 19 books, his latest Creative Dissent: A Politician's Struggle for Peace will be for sale.
